FAQ'S
What is the average cost of a removal company in the UK?
This all depends on what you are needing done? Are you moving a 2, 3, 4 or even a 5 bedroom house? Or maybe a full on office block move. What size van or truck do you need? What size team do you require? Does any items need to be taken apart and then rebuilt at the other end? Is there any walkways? or corridors? What is the access like at both points? These are all things we take into consideration.
Is there a certain day where it may be cheaper to move home or business premises?
If you're looking to save money, consider scheduling your move on a Tuesday or Wednesday. These days are often the least busy for moving companies. By avoiding the weekend rush, you might be able to secure a more affordable rate and potentially even receive better service due to the reduced workload.
Do we pay you in advance for my removals? Or after the move is complete?
On all larger moves or clearances we normally take a deposit. This is to secure the booking as we need to book out the correct size vehicle and also the team for your move or clearance. Please note deposits are NONE REFUNDABLE. Your deposit can be carried over if you decide to carry out the job on another day and it is within 30 days of your original booking.
How far in advance should I book my move?
We would always advise to do it as early as you can, so you know that you are booked in. Moving is stressful enough for our customers so we always say plan well in advance.
Do you use the same vans for both the moves and also your clearance jobs?
NO. We use certain vehicles for all our moving jobs so these are always kept nice and clean inside. And the older vans for all of our clearance and rubbish and general junk disposal jobs. This is why on some jobs we send several vehicles as they all have a different role to play.
Do your team take apart furniture for us? or do we need to do this ourselves?
This is up to you. For those who want to save money obviously it will save you money if you do this task yourself. Taking apart furniture takes time and it is this time you are been charged for. We do offer this service but YOU MUST order this in advance, so when you call or email us let us know.
Can you give me an estimate over the phone or by email?
Yes. But please note this is only an estimate and is very likely to change. We advise everyone to take several photos or even better a couple of videos on their own phone and send us these photos or videos either by email or on What's app. This helps us give you a better quotation but once again this is still just an estimate.
Do you take any waste or rubbish we might have?
YES WE DO. We are also a registered waste carrier and our teams carry out household and also business clearances and rubbish disposal all the time. Please let us know if you require this service as we send a different vehicle to take away the waste.
Can we help you load and unload if we want to? Will it save money.
We are trained in the industry and moving furniture with customers is NOT ADVISED. It is a very heavy and can be dangerous job therefore our teams normally do all the loading and unloading. However if you want to assist with maybe the bags or boxes then i am sure this will go down well with the team. But please note you do so at your own risk.
What wont you move?
On some jobs when we have furniture that is not save to move, maybe this is because the backs of the units have came off. Our teams will not move ANY FURNITURE if it is a risk to themselves and their safety. All items MUST BE SOLID AND SAFE TO MOVE as some items need to be moved at angles and be carried up and downstairs. Safety is always our priority. We ask that all walkways are kept clear of any clutter as we do not want any slips or trips.
